Pilates, carefully and thoroughly taught, is suitable for virtually everyone. It can lead to an enhanced sense of well being which, when we consider how hectic our lives are, can be of great value to us. Nottinghamshire based Pilatesactive runs classes that merge the principles of Pilates and fitness training to offer an interesting and challenging blend of personalised exercise. We focus on improving core strength, developing an awareness of good posture, improving range of movement and flexibility as well as having fun! People often think Pilates is slow paced but having learnt the basic techniques the exercises can be made very active. But increasing heart rate and sweating is not for everyone, so Pilatesactive sessions aim to develop a level of Pilates suitable for each individual. We work safely with both fit clients and those with, for example, low back pain, postural imbalances and sports injuries, encouraging everyone to work in their own comfortable range. Pilates exercises develop concentration, co-ordination and body awareness and in doing so unite the body and mind. Pilates is definitely not an easy exercise option but is a very satisfying and beneficial one that takes time and commitment to master. Instruction is provided at all levels - beginner, intermediate and advanced on mats and with other equipment, as appropriate. Classes of up to five can be held at home, at work or at your sports venue. Private tuition and group classes are held at Radcliffe Chiropractic clinic.
